Bathtime

This is our nightly routine to get Gabe in the tub. Very easy kid to bathe, hard kid to get out of the tub. Mabry loves this video. She thinks it's funny. I think Gabe looks like a chimp.

Been a long time!

A couple of weeks ago, we went to our friends, Matt and Sabrina's for dinner. They have a new puppy named Symon. Gabe liked Symon, but was happier looking for the remotes, climbing on the fireplace, and playing the drum kit for Rock Band.

Mabry, on the other hand, definitely does not have a dominant personality. She let Cooper drag her around the house by her shirt for at least ten minutes. It looked like a primal mating ritual. Good thing there is six years age difference between them or I would be worried.

This is yet another picture of Gabe eating something. He has not mastered the from the fingers or spoon into the mouth thing yet. It's coming.

Other highlights:

As of this month, Gabe can:

1. show us how refs call touchdowns!

2. wave and say Bye! and actually know what it means!

3. Feed himself mostly

4. Say cat (sometimes he actually means cat--other times, he means that; it takes a finely tuned ear to distinguish)

5. goes straight to the tub when he hears the words bathtime

6. lays down when you tell him he needs a diaper

7. dances to the theme song of "Phineas and Ferb" HYSTERICAL!

Mabry:

1. Mabry participated in the St. Jude's Math-A-Thon at school and raised over $300! Thanks for everyone's help.

2. Can read 87 words per minute fluently

3. made straight A's again

4. got tested for the gifted program

5. finished reading "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing", "Fudge", "Double Fudge", "Superfudge", and "Ramona Quimby, Age 8" Due to her insatiable appetite for reading (where does she get that from?), we are now taking donations to the get Mabry new books fund. Our library sucks.
