Homecoming Week PArt II

So the entire 5K class rode in a limo today to school. I asked Mabry how it was, and her only response was," The lights changed colors." Oh, well. I guess it takes more to impress a five year old who has also been in a hot air balloon at her age. I am extremely jealous of Mabry's life experiences and wish that I could have many of the same. Here's a picture of Mabry and her best friend, Bowen Stone, both dressed like the rock stars that they are.

Homecoming in Holly Springs

Well, it is homecoming week for both Holly Springs and Marshall Academy this week. While my kids have the typical out of uniform days (tacky, jeans and polos), MA has gone all out. Today was cowboy and indian day (I guess to allow all the John Deere costuming to come out), tomorrow is rock star day, and Thursday is fake injury day. Mabry and the rest of the 5K class will be taking a limo to school in true rock star fashion!! I plan to take a picture, so check back tomorrow! If anyone has any ideas on how to accomplish fake injuries without actually buying slings and ace bandages, please let me know. Thanks and have a great day!

Labor Day fun!!

Thanks to Mom and Barry for hosting us for a very long weekend. We had a family appointment at the doctor Friday. Everything is fine. Dr. even asked if we had the consent for the epidural filled out yet. Guess it should be dawning on us that Gabe should be here in as little as nine weeks. Since the football game was moved to Lafayette (who beat our tails 7 - 50), we went home and did the chores that you generally need to do before leaving town. We got up early Saturday and headed to the lake for some R and R. We had a great day of swimming and Guy got to ride the jet ski (yes, I am jealous). It was extremely nice to visit and catch up with the family. Barry finally got Mabry's loose tooth out. I guess it is a wonderful thing that the
Tooth Fairy is like Santa and knows exactly where to find all kids. The Tooth Fairy decided to bring a fairytopia Barbie and several outfits instead of money this time (I guess ten quarters was getting to be a little burdensome). Anyway, after the full weekend, we are finally home. We have been grocery shopping for the week and the laundry is down to the last load. Weekly ironing has been done, and all that is left is the dreaded grading of papers and lesson plans. We will try to remember to take a picture of Mabry's latest hole in her mouth to post this week. Hope everyone is safe and happy!! Talk to you later!
